ISR Self-Rescue teaches your child essential water safety skills, building both their swimming abilities and confidence.

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the global leader in survival swimming instruction, teaching life-saving Self-Rescue skills to children 6 months to 6 years old. With over 55 years of research and development and the industry's highest safety standards, we've delivered more than 19 million lessons, helping children build both safety skills and confidence in the water.

Our mission is clear: "Not One More Child Drowns." While we strongly advocate for pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision, we recognize that these traditional safety measures aren't enough on their own. ISR's innovative approach puts children at the center of drowning prevention. With over 450,000 graduates and hundreds of documented survival stories, we've proven that children can learn to save themselves.

Our method works because we understand that children are naturally curious and capable. Rather than rely solely on barriers, we equip them with the skills they need if they ever find themselves in water alone. We transform that natural curiosity into life-saving capability, creating confident swimmers and peace of mind for parents.

Meet Your Instructor:

Beth Pavelka

Originally from the Gulf Coast, Beth grew up in and around the water and values the importance of water safety. She was a competitive swimmer from 8 years old until college, and then she went to grad school, where she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007. After her first child in 2016, Beth left her career to stay home. She always felt drawn to helping others but needed a more flexible way to do that with three young children at home. After her own children became skilled with ISR, Beth knew this would be an excellent opportunity for her to return to doing something she loved and truly believed in. Beth has been teaching for four years and has helped many little ones like yours learn to self-rescue.
